They might not be the best built guitars to ever come out of Japan but they all have something special, here is a list of Japanese guitar brands. I’m so in love with my Greco‘s, every time I pick one up it hits me how good they feel to play. Judging from the amazing grain, I suppose Sen would be an expensive upcharge on a custom build these days. The Greco family, Greco Spacey Sounds TE-500N 1977, Greco Les Paul Custom EG-600C 1980, Greco Spacey Sounds TL-500 1979. Decent pickups maybe ?Įdit: Just saw the guitars above. Many players would have left it the way it was.Īfter a setup the guitar has a great 'vintage' Strat sound through a Fender Deluxe. This guy is into big bends so he wanted a change asap. The original was 7.5" radius with what seem like the old Les Paul fretless wonder wire. This was a love job for a mate who was very pleased with the compound radius neck on this body. After a *lot* of mucking about I managed, with luck on my side, to get it fitted correctly. This made for tricky alignment to get the neck straight when drilling the holes in the new neck. There heel of the new neck fitted closely, but there's a 2mm gap between the body and neck at the 17th fret, which allowed for the neck to swing through quite a few degrees of arc. The neck pocket on this body is not quite rectangular. I thought if I opened it up to the forum I'd come up with some expert answers. Thanks guys interesting manufacturing history info.
